Eltham Palace - An art deco dream

Circular Entrance Hall

If you are a fan of the Modern House Instagram account then a visit to Eltham Palace is a must. This once medieval palace was transformed by eccentric millionaires Stephen and Viriginia Courtauld in the 1930s. Each room combines intriguing nods to travel, textures and key design pieces from the era. I explored each room and was blown away by the attention to detail, from the ornate wood panelling to the circular finish of Virginia’s bedroom. Each room has an unexpected feature that really captured my attention. The perfect shoot location.
